My Thoughts

Rachel Scott McDaniel is always a winner for me, and her latest was no exception. In Spotlight and Shadow provided two beautiful romances and a relatable theme of forgiveness and second chances.

Elise and Sophie are both wonderful heroines with relatable flaws and weaknesses they struggle to overcome. Pierson and Sterling are both well-developed foils who provide plenty of romantic tension and a high swoon factor.

The spiritual arc about God as our Father and His love for us is both beautiful and timely. We can always use a reminder of that.

Overall, In Spotlight and Shadow is a captivating dual timeline novel with a compelling plot and relatable characters.
